Terms of Service

1. The service

Lianify is a study tool. It turns material you provide into summaries, quizzes and flashcards. It also includes spaced-repetition review, a note editor and study games. Every feature is available on the free plan, with daily limits on AI features. An optional paid plan, Pro, raises those limits. We may change features or limits; if a change affects what you pay, we will tell you first.

Lianify is run by Chaiyapat Sanguanwong, an individual based in Thailand.

2. Plans, payments and renewals

• Our reseller. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
• Automatic renewal. Pro is billed monthly or yearly, as you choose at checkout, and renews at the end of each period until you cancel. Prices include any VAT or sales tax that applies where you live.
• Cancel anytime. Cancel from your profile with Manage billing. Pro stays on until the end of the period you have paid for and then doesn't renew. Your study sets stay in your account.
• Refunds. Every new account can try Pro free for a week, so payments are final in most cases. We refund purchases made by mistake before Pro has really been used, double charges, charges after you cancelled, and payments for Pro that a problem on our side kept you from using. See our Refund Policy for the conditions. A refunded payment ends Pro for that subscription.
• Founding price. If you subscribe while a founding price is offered, you keep that price for as long as your subscription stays active. If you cancel and subscribe again later, the price at that time applies.
• Price changes. We may change prices for new subscribers at any time. Before we raise the price of an existing subscription, we will tell you at least 30 days in advance so you can cancel first.
• Under 18? Please ask a parent or guardian to agree to the purchase.
• Fair use. Pro limits are generous, but they are still limits. They keep the service fast and protect it from abuse and automated use.

3. Your account

You sign in with a Google account and are responsible for what happens under your account. You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of legal consent where you live, you need a parent's or guardian's permission.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of the material you upload and the notes you write. You give Lianify permission to store, process and display that content only as needed to run the service for you. This includes sending it to our AI provider to create your study material. You confirm that you have the right to use the content you upload. Don't upload material you aren't allowed to share, such as someone else's paid course content, if doing so breaks their rights.

5. Acceptable use

Please don't:

• upload illegal, harmful or hateful content, or other people's personal data without permission;
• try to get around usage limits, for example with multiple accounts or scripts;
• attack, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service, or access other users' data;
• use Lianify to cheat on exams or break your school's academic-integrity rules;
• resell or give others access to the service without our written permission.

6. AI-generated content

Summaries, quiz questions, answers and explanations are generated by AI and can be incomplete or wrong. Always check important facts against your course material. Lianify is a study aid and doesn't guarantee exam results.

7. Sharing

If you create a public share link for a note, you are responsible for what you share. You can turn the link off at any time.

8. Suspension and ending your account

You can stop using Lianify at any time and delete your account yourself from your profile. If you have Pro, deleting your account cancels the subscription straight away. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put the service or other users at risk. Where reasonable, we will give notice first. If we close your account for a reason that isn't your fault, we will refund the unused part of any paid period.

9. Disclaimers and liability

Lianify is provided "as is". We work to keep it available and your data safe, but we can't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Please keep your own copies of important material. To the extent the law allows, Lianify is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost data or lost grades. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have that cannot be limited by law, including your rights as a consumer.

10. Privacy

11. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms. If we make important changes, we will tell you in advance, and continuing to use Lianify after that means you accept them. These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand.

If you believe a shared note or other content on Lianify infringes your copyright, email us the link and the details. We will review it and remove the content if it does.
